Tips to get your resume noticed:
- Your resume is your personal brochure, a sales tool that sells yourself.
- Your resume should demonstrate your skills, talent and technical ability.
- Clearly show a history of training, accomplishments and/or experience to substantiate
your statements. Preferably no more than two (2) pages long.
- Chronologically laid out making it clear and easy to read.
- Make sure your contact information is valid, with current telephone numbers and reliable E-mail.
Tips for your Interview:
- Your appearance IS important.
- Communicate clearly and politely.
- Be prepared- bring copies of your resume (2 minimum), References and any other documents that support you.
- NEVER be too casual or overly confident.
- Don't be derogatory about your previous employers.
- Be prepared for Behavior based interviewing and reply giving Context, Action and Result whenever possible.
- Have your own questions ready, so please research the company you are meeting with.
